Setting Up My 2019 Erin Condren Life Planner

How I Set Up My New Erin Condren Life Planner For 2019

ErinCon.png

The time of the year that we start using our brand spanking new 2019 planner has arrived. That is, if your life according to your planner begins in January, as mine does. In my mind I think – new year, fresh start.

In this post I will be sharing some tips on how I am using my Erin Condren Life Planner. The weekly and monthly pages as well as some notes and goals pages. I have also include a look into my Deluxe Monthly Planner which I am using as my budget planner for 2019.

I still use stickers from a bunch of different shops and plan to continue to do so this year. Ones I have already purchased this year include stickers from shops such as Cricket Paper Co., Dani Faith Designs, Organizing Companion (who sadly closed her shop), Sweet Ava’s Paper etc. I also will continue to use my Create 365 MAMBI sticker books and some washi as well.

Let’s get started – shall we?

The Yearly Calendar on 2 Pages

This year I purchased the Erin Condren translucent circles to mark off birthdays, anniversaries and important days for my daughter’s school. Here I have it where I use pink for birthdays, gold circles for anniversaries, blue for no school and green circles for Spirit days. I really like the look of these and I didn’t think purchasing the pack of 3 that include all of those colors and more for $7 was that bad.

2019 Erin Condren Life Planner Goal Boxes

For this section I utilized boxes I had gotten in my plum paper planner to mark off the months. For this area I plan on using it to plan out blog posts according to the months.

Monthly Calendar on 2 Pages

I use my monthly calendar as a quick glance of all that I have going on during the month. I pre plan in my month any events for school, my work, doctors appointments etc. When I go to plan out my week, I take a look at the month to see what I need to include. I don’t decorate the monthly a whole lot – a little washi and some stickers but nothing too crazy. This may change as the year goes on like it did last year and I may purchase some monthly kits. For now, to start off I just used old stickers I had and washi.

Weekly Pages

I bought the colorful traditional vertical layout  again this year because I enjoyed planning in it last year. These are the pages that I decorate and use the most. I buy weekly kits off of etsy and other sticker shop websites and use those to plan out my week.

Notes Pages

Word of Year

I love using the notes pages for lists and ideas. You can really use them for anything – favorite tv shows, mood tracker, exercise tracker, cleaning routines etc. I include information for my kid’s school, online log ons and passwords, wish list, cleaning routine and section for my goals and 2019 word of the year.

Deluxe Monthly Planner – My Budget Planner

I bought the Deluxe Monthly Planner from Erin Condren and wanted to use it as my budget planner for this year. Before purchasing this planner I used just a plain notebook as a budget planner so I figured 2019 – it was time for an upgrade.

Budget

I saw this layout in Pinterest and love how it looks. I used some sticker from the Create 365 Budget sticker book to keep track of my food and gas purchases throughout the month.

Monthly Budget

This is the monthly view in the deluxe monthly planner. I used stickers from sweet ava’s paper to mark the bills I have to pay.

So that about sums up how I set up my Erin Condren Life Planner as well as my Deluxe Monthly Budget Planner. I have lots to fill in to get myself ready for January – which is seriously right around the corner.

Sometimes setting up a new planner can be intimidating – I know that’s how I felt when I first got my Erin Condren. But after being in my Erin Condren for a year – I knew how I wanted to set this one up. My suggestions would be peruse Pinterest, check out YouTube videos – and figure out what works for you.

I hope that you found this post helpful. Leave a comment down below to tell me what planner you chose for 2019 and how you are setting it up!

  1. I’ve seen these around on Youtube! They look so nice but I just know that I won’t stick to using it. Must be very handy if you have children though as there are so many things you need to remember. I struggle to use a normal planner consistently, so I won’t get one this year. I just use my notebooks to brainstorm and write down my goals in.

Wishing you all the best in 2019!

  2. I love having a planner. I bullet journal but time means I often don’t use it, this is a great alternative. I have heard great things about the Erin Condron planners

    1. I love the idea of bullet journaling but like you said – sometimes time does not allow to really use it effectively. The Erin Condren planner does come with dotted grid pages in the back and I use those to put down goals/ things to keep track of like I would want to in a bullet journal.
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy New Year!

  3. Hi Morgan, your planners look really nice. I used to have a planner many moons ago but now use online files on Google Drive. My planning is basically like yours however I am in the process to change my start of the year to November. 31st of October has always felt like the end of the year to me even though I would not consider myself a pagan. Might consider having a physical planner again though… Thanks for your great post.
