The BEST Homemade Lemonade

You only need three ingredients to make this homemade Lemonade Recipe. It’s so simple and refreshing–perfect for a hot summer day!

Lemonade is easy to make, but making sure the ratios are right is critical. Too much lemon and it’s too tart, and too much water and it’s, well, lemon water. This recipe is a perfectly balanced lemonade that everyone is going to love.

You only need three simple ingredients to make this lemonade recipe:

Ingredients

  1. Lemons –  You’ll only need 3-4 nice sized lemons to get one cup of juice

2. Sugar –  Plain granulated sugar works just fine

3. Water – I use bottle spring water because I don’t like the taste of tap water

How to Make Homemade Lemonade

  1. Combine 1 cup each of sugar and water and cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Set the syrup aside and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Squeeze 3-4 large lemons into a cup – you need about 1 cup of lemon juice.
  4. Combine the cooled syrup and freshly-squeezed lemon juice into a pitcher.
  5. Add the remaining water and stir, then pour over ice and enjoy!

How easy is that? Better than the canned kind you add water to. Super simple & very refreshing. I guarantee the pitcher will be gone in no time. My family loves it – they say it reminds them of the fresh lemonade that we get at fairs in the summertime. Combine it with this amazing lemon zest bundt cake for an ultra refreshing lemon dessert. 1. I think even I could make this and not mess it up 😀 Thank you for posting. Going to let the kiddos read this, print it off and make it for a lemonade stand.
