How to Be Your Most Productive Self

I don’t know about you but some days I have a to-do list a mile long and the motivation of a sloth. I try to keep myself motivated to get things done but some days are definitely harder than others. I do find that when I follow these 5 tips, I tend to be my most productive.

  1. Start the Night Before: Plan out tomorrow, prep for the next day and get a good night’s sleep.
  2. Wake up Early: The early bird gets the worm. I get way more work done in the early hours of the am when my kids are still in dream land – and I don’t feel guilty that I’m working and not playing with them because they are asleep.
  3. Prioritize Your To-Dos: I always make a Top 3 list of must-dos and then see what I can accomplish beyond that.
  4. Stay hydrated: Dehydration causes fatigue and if you are tired you are not going to be your most productive self.
  5. Schedule in down-time: Reward yourself for working hard and take a break and relax.

I find that the more I plan, the more productive I am because I manage my time better when it is planned out. What are some of your tips for being productive?
