Christmas Tag & Questions 2018!!

Happy end of November everyone! Christmas season is in full swing and as I was perusing other blogs I saw this Christmas tag post and thought it was a brilliant idea. You should definitely check out Kat from Cozy and Caffeinated – she is the creator of this Christmas tag and her blog is full of great stuff. SO after you read this, definitely head on over to her blog which can be found here. So after you read mind, let’s keep this tag going – I’ll leave her blank questions at the bottom and you can copy and paste and answer them on your own but tag her in them so she can see everyone’s answers and gets credit for her creation of course! Without further ado, let’s get into the questions!

Christmas Tag 2018

Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
My husband is Puerto Rican and it is his family’s tradition to open gifts on Christmas Eve – however in my family we waited until Christmas Day. So right now we combined the two traditions and we do gifts from the family on Christmas Eve and Santa comes later that night and we open his gifts on Christmas morning. 

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
The last 3 years we have cut down our own tree at a tree farm about 15 miles from where we live. We always get a Frasier Fir and I honestly love this new tradition and probably will never go back to having a fake tree.

You have been granted one Christmas wish… what will it be?
This is a hard question. If I had to pick I would say to have all of my family altogether for the holidays. We all live in different states (PA, DE, FL, MA, NJ, NY, CT..) and I can’t tell you the last time everyone has been under one roof which makes me sad. So if I had to pick a wish, it would be to have everyone together for a big Christmas dinner. 

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
We open up gifts from the family on Christmas Eve. Because we all live in different states, some of our family will fed ex us gifts for the kids which they would open on Christmas Eve. This year we are spending Christmas Eve at my sister-in-laws house in NY and the family is getting together to have dinner (his side). The following day we will travel to NJ to see my side of the family (my brother, his wife and my nephew as well as my dad) for dinner. Traditions for Christmas Eve usually include matching PJs, Christmas movies, eating Pernil (Puerto Rican Pork Roast) with arroz and gandules as well as seafood. What sits on top of your tree?
We have an angel on our tree. See pic. 

Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Yes we have – and they are usually the best! 

Can you name all of Santa’s Reindeer?

I have to sing the song to be able to – Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Vixen, Blitzen, Cupid, Donner and then Rudolph.

Have you been naughty or nice this year? Be honest!
I think I am definitely on the nice list!

Which do you enjoy more? Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
It’s hard to choose because I really like both. We see family sometimes both days and I love the anticipation of waiting for Santa as well as seeing the kids faces as they tear through their gifts.

What do you eat for Christmas Dinner?
We have a turkey, stuffing, carrots, green beans, rolls, mashed potatoes, and pies and cookies and either cake or cupcakes for dessert.

Do you have an Advent Calendar each year?
We do – we usually get one from the bookstore or Walmart.

Do you send out Christmas Cards?
We usually do, but this year I probably am not going to. We didn’t take pictures this year for the card so I probably won’t make one. We usually make them through Walmart Photo Center and send them out.
