6 Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

February is always associated with love and romance thanks to Valentine’s Day. Some hate it, others love it. I love February for two reasons – I got married on Feb 19th and my youngest daughter was born on Feb. 12th (my baby is going to be 4!!). Since it is the month that everyone associates with love, I wanted to share my favorite fun date ideas for occasion – or any future date occasion you may have.

Comedy Show – My husband and I love going to comedy shows. We’ve seen Dane Cook twice, Ron White, Jeff Dunham and have been to an Improv as well as a local comedy place – and every single one we absolutely LOVED. The shows can be really interactive and if you love to laugh – I promise you’ll be laughing all night long.

Cooking Class – Going to a cooking class is a great way to spend time with your significant other and learn cool new techniques and recipes for dinner. Plus, you’re guaranteed an amazing meal that you can take credit for.

Get Sporty – My husband loves sports so going someplace like mini golfing, horseback riding, go-karts, paintballing makes for a fun and interactive experience with the person you love. It’s winter here now, so if you’re experiencing the cold like we are, you have different options like bowling, ice skating, skiing, indoor paintball, and snow tubing can all be fun and really cute date ideas.

A Different Take on Eating/Drinking – Take the typical out to dinner date up a notch by going to a vineyard or brewery, a fondue restaurant, or even a Mystery Dinner (a dinner and a show all in one!). Sometimes changing up the kind of place you go out to eat can make all the difference.

Zoos/Aquariums – If you’ve read many of my other posts you would know that my husband and I are huge zoo and aquarium people. Some of our fondest dates and memories have been at different zoos all across the globe. We don’t get to go by ourselves that often now because we love going with our kids, but when we do go by ourselves we really enjoy it and take in all of the animals and fish.

Classic Dinner & a Movie – There is nothing wrong with the dinner and a movie date. So if you’re strapped for time, money, or don’t want to venture too far away from the house, you can make this an affordable night out and enjoy spending time with your significant other. Plus, you can make it different and mix it up by going to a drive in, which can be really romantic and super fun.

There are a ton of different ideas for dates for the big day (Valentine’s Day) or any other day you have a date, but these 6 are my favorite. What are some of your favorite ideas for dates? Leave them in the comments! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @mommyaboveall0171!
