An Amazing January: What Goals I’ve Accomplished So Far

Happy February friends! I wanted to come on here and update my goals and let you know what we’ve been up to in the month of January. We started the new year off strong with a visit to my sister-in-laws and visiting NYC and seeing the tree, hanging out at the Museum of Natural History and trying Insomnia Cookies (which are insanely delicious).

Following our trip in December to Universal, Sea World and NYC – January has been a month of resetting, focusing on goals, enjoying the little things and we are off to a great start so far.

January Goals Update:

  1. Read 1 book – I read People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry. I joined a Book Club in my community in January and this was the first pick & it is definitely a good one. Check it out if you haven’t read it yet!
  2. Utilize Planner – I am using the Home Planner by Passionate Penny Pincher and am loving all of the checklists. and how organized it has kept me this month. With the help of the lists in this planner, I have organized the pantry, 2 kitchen drawers, under my sink and my stockpile in the garage.
  3. Continue to Budget – I have been using the Budget Mom Budget by Paycheck system as well as cash envelopes to continue to budget our lives and it continues to work well.
  4. Coupon at least 2 times – I have gone couponing at Dollar General and CVS in January – saving over $175 on household and beauty essentials. You can check out my hauls on my tik tok here.
  5. Quality Family Time – we kept it low key in January but have included trips to the bookstore, mall, Church, going to the beach and eating out on the weekends for some together time.

During one of our family outings we tried a new place called the Pink Flamingo Cafe in Rehoboth Beach. They have some awesome desserts there – we tried the Green Apple dessert (right) and Triple Berry Chocolate Mousse. Divine.

While checking in with my January goals I wanted to update my 101 things in 1001 days. Let’s see what we’ve accomplished so far on this list before we get to February’s goals!
