
This Creamy Garlic Chicken and Broccoli Tortellini is an easy weeknight dinner that’s delicious, hearty, and ready in about 30 minutes! Cheese tortellini are filling on their own but pairing it with cream, Parmesan cheese, chicken and broccoli, it will make your taste buds celebrate!
This dinner is full of garlic and cheese flavor and has easily become a family favorite in our house. This dish comes together quickly and effortlessly making it the PERFECT weeknight dinner! Plus, you can leave out the chicken and make it a wonderful vegetarian meal!
Ingredients
- 20 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 1/2 cups chicken
- 1 1/2 cups frozen broccoli
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions

- First, saute the chicken in some olive oil until cooked through and juices run clear. Then add minced garlic (4 cloves) and olive oil (1 tbsp) to pan and cook until garlic becomes fragrant but, not browned, about 1-2 minutes. Don’t walk away.
- In a separate pan, cook your tortellini according to directions – boiling them about 3-4 minutes.
- Next, add the frozen broccoli (1 1/2 cups) to the pan with the chicken and cook for 3-4 four minutes.
- Then, add the chicken broth (1 1/2 cups) and heavy cream (2/3 cup) to chicken and broccoli and cook until it begins to simmer or about three minutes.
- Next, add the tortellini and cook for about 3-5 minutes to allow flavors to combine.
- Next, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve & Enjoy!
This recipe makes about six servings or four large servings. Keep that in mind if you’re feeding less than four people and don’t want leftovers. You can easily halve this recipe if you want to make less of it.
If you like some heat – you can add some red pepper flakes if you want to make it spicy. This tortellini dinner is an easy, fast and filling dinner that everyone in the family is sure to enjoy!
