One of the best parts about a Delaware beach getaway—whether you’re at Rehoboth, Dewey, or Fenwick Island—is the food. From fresh seafood to family-friendly bites and waterfront views, the Delaware beaches are filled with restaurants worth visiting. Here are some of the must-try spots that locals and visitors alike rave about:
1. Fins Ale House & Raw Bar (Rehoboth Beach)

If you’re a seafood lover, Fins is a must. Known for its oysters, crab dip, and fresh catches straight from the docks, this spot is perfect for happy hour or a casual dinner after a day on the beach. We have eaten their quite a few times – and their food is stellar. Even the chicken sandwich (pictured) is mouth-watering. Their craft beer list is also excellent, making it a hit for parents who want to unwind.
2. Harpoon Hanna’s (Fenwick Island)

A true classic on the water, Harpoon Hanna’s has been a family favorite for decades. It is a favorite in our house and typically the go-to restaurant for special occasions or when family comes in to stay. With indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the bay, it’s the perfect spot for sunsets, live music, and hearty portions of seafood and American classics. The kids’ menu is great, and adults can sip one of their famous frozen drinks.
3. The Starboard (Dewey Beach)

The Starboard is legendary in Dewey Beach. Known for its famous Bloody Mary bar, Orange Crushes and lively atmosphere, it’s a go-to for brunch and nightlife. But don’t worry—it’s also family-friendly earlier in the day, serving up a solid menu of tasty sandwiches, seafood, and beach eats.
4. Above the Dunes (Rehoboth Beach)

For ocean views that can’t be beat, head to Above the Dunes. This restaurant sits right on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, making it an ideal stop for families looking for a sit-down meal after walking the boards. With a mix of seafood, burgers, and beachy cocktails, it’s a little more upscale but still casual enough for kids.
5. Big Fish Grill (Rehoboth Beach)
Big Fish is a Delaware staple—ask any local! It’s known for fresh seafood, a fun family vibe, and consistently great service. The portions are generous, and the menu has something for everyone (including picky eaters). Bonus: their homemade desserts are worth saving room for.
6. Victoria’s Restaurant (Rehoboth Beach)

If you’re looking for something a bit more elegant, Victoria’s at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel is a hidden gem. With Victorian-inspired décor, fine dining, and oceanfront views, it’s perfect for a date night or a special family dinner. Their afternoon tea service is also a unique treat. When you’re leaving don’t forget to say hi to Emro (pictured), Moose and Peanut – the lobby birds in the hotel. They will even “sign” a postcard for you as a momento.

7. Egg (Rehoboth Beach)

For the ultimate breakfast or brunch, Egg is the spot. Known for creative takes on classics like eggs benedict, fluffy pancakes, and avocado toast, it’s a cozy place to start your day before hitting the beach. Even my basic eggs, bacon, home fries and toast was absolutely delicious. Get there early – Brunch is super popular.
8. Catch 54 (Fenwick Island)
Catch 54 offers fresh, upscale seafood with beautiful views of the Assawoman Bay. From crab cakes to tuna tartare, it’s a little more refined but still relaxed enough for a family dinner or night out.
9. Rusty Rudder (Dewey Beach)
This waterfront staple is all about live music, dancing, and casual beach vibes. With big seafood buffets and a fun crowd, it’s perfect for those who want dinner and entertainment all in one spot.
10. Agave (Rehoboth Beach & Lewes)
Agave is one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in the area. Known for its flavorful margaritas, fresh guacamole, and creative tacos, it’s a must for anyone craving Mexican food at the beach.
11. Crooked Hammock Brewery (Lewes)
This laid-back brewery is a hit for families and groups. With a backyard vibe complete with hammocks, cornhole, and picnic tables, it’s the perfect place to grab craft beer and comfort food while letting the kids run around.
12. The Big Chill (Bethany Beach & Coastal Highway)
